This Women’s month of March 2022, we feature Mrs. Esther Gunda (EG), the Zimbabwe Teachers Association (ZIMTA) National Women’s representative as she unpacks the significance of International Women’s Day, a day celebrated annually on the 8th of March across the globe. ZIMTA just like most progressive entities adopted the 50:50 gender policy, to ensure the presence of gender main streaming.

PRESIDENT’S SOLIDARITY MESSAGE ON MAY DAY

SOCIAL JUSTICE AND DECENT WORK FOR ALL:

Dear Colleagues,

As we unite here today, we are reminded of the importance of solidarity and the power of collective action. We, as workers, play a crucial role in shaping the future of our nation and in demanding the respect and rights we deserve.

The theme for our meeting today, “Rallying workers for social justice and decent work culture in Zimbabwe,” resonates deeply with the challenges we face in our workplaces. We must stand together to address issues of fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for labor rights.
